The Importance Of Electronic Repair Courses

15 Aug

Attending electronics repair course provided by your local electronic training institutions is a good move to increase your knowledge in electronics. We cannot limit ourselves in just attending a single subject such as basic electronic troubleshooting and repair. There are many subjects about electronics especially nowadays where many engineering or technical college offers courses on PIC microcontroller. Robotics and household equipments such as air condition, washing machine, TV, monitor and testing equipments are using microcontroller.

You can take up courses like programmable logic controller (PLC), Industrial Automation Electronic, Microcomputer troubleshooting, electronic control systems, networking, computer repair, printer, laptop, monitor, appliance, motherboard, TV, cell phone and etc. You have the choice to attend full time or part time. Nowadays there are many online home study courses too. These specialize courses duration usually are between 3-6 months. Competition is so great and you need more than one skill to face the challenge. I have a friend who is working in oversea told me that if you say you are good in electronic repair, 100,000 peoples are also good in this field so what makes the employers want to hire you as a technician or engineer. The answer is multitasking, that’s mean besides doing component level or circuit board repair work you have to be good in other area such as networking, computer programming and etc. You will be glad if you have attended those courses.

I once attended a seminar where the speaker mentioned about company resizing, company restructuring, and retrenchment, lay down workers, and reorganize company, in other words the speaker said you are fired! We have to fully equip ourselves and be ready to face whatever challenge that is coming on our way. I had some repair friends who never attend any electronic repair courses before and they are venturing into the repair business. Although they can do the repair work, not all equipment can be repaired. This is due to their limitation in understanding electronic. Their jobs are mainly replacing components rather than doing voltage troubleshooting, using scope and etc. I always encourage them to take up at least a basic electronic course to further their knowledge and hope to bring in more income for them. I even encourage them to surf the internet to gain more electronic repair knowledge. As for me, besides repairing monitors and conduct classes on electronic repair, I took up internet marketing as another field for me to venture in. Though my passion is in electronic repair, I begin to like internet marketing because it can generate a passive income for me. I can see the potential in it because you can market to the whole world and make money while you are sleeping. Throughout the few years I had learned about building websites (electronicrepairguide.com was built by me). Building website is not hard, as long as you must have the passion of doing it. I do not know about your passion, but additional knowledge whether in electronics repair or non-electronics is a great advantage for you and learning has no end. Who knows one day I might end up taking robotics designing and repair course.I have read this quote from a bulletin and would like to share it with you.

Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for; it is a thing to be achieved. A good quote from Benjamin Franklin “If a man empties his purse into his head, no one can take it away from him. An investment of knowledge always pays the best interest”.

Computer IT Services In New Jersey: Does NJ Online Backup Make Sense?

Computer IT Services In New Jersey: Does NJ Online Backup Make Sense?

Many small businesses in New Jersey don’t have their own internal IT departments. Instead, they rely on one employee who knows a little more than the others, a trusted advisor—either a relative or friend—or they outsource all computer services to a New Jersey IT services firm like Hoboken-based Uptime. (http://www.uptimeus.com/)

New Jersey Computer IT services firms often provide systems integration, computer repairs, server management, virus detections and inoculations, firewall security, and hardware and software uprade recommendations. But one of the most essential functions these IT services firms provide is data storage solutions and consulting. (http://www.uptimeus.com/Services/data-storage-solutions.html)

New Jersey Online Backup Saves Money On Hardware & Upgrade Costs
A small business usually doesn’t have a lot of extra money for initial NJ IT set-up costs—especially in this recession economy. Trimming budgets (especially IT budgets) is on everyone’s minds these days. Traditional backup solutions involve hardware, software, setup, maintenance and operational costs. Such fees can quickly scale beyond a small company’s means. (And if you think you can skip or skimp on backup to save money, think again. Infrequent or incomplete backup can stall operations or even run a company into the ground quicker than you can say “I forgot to backup” three times.)

But a cloud-based backup system avoids expensive hardware fees as well as periodic hardware upgrades. After a usually hassle-free setup, an online backup service will monitor your system for changes and incrementally backup your data. You’ll trade an initial hardware investment of thousands of dollars for a nominal monthly fee and a static system for a scalable one whose storage capacity can grow as your business’s needs grow.

NJ Online Backup Is More Reliable Than Traditional New Jersey Backup
Remote backup (http://www.uptimeus.com/Services/data-storage-solutions.html) is one of the most exciting computer IT services in NJ right now. Why? Online backup computer services are more reliable than traditional tape backup because cloud-based computer backups are automated, the systems are routinely tested, and they’re not as vulnerable to acts of god like fires or hurricanes.

Always Offsite. Always Tested. Always Safe.
Has anyone in your company ever forgotten to move NJ backup tapes offsite? If they have, then those backup tapes are as vulnerable to fires, storms, or theft as your office building itself.

But even if you do have everything automated, chances are you’re not testing your backups as regularly as your should. You may even find that your computer IT service backups are failing to restore. (In fact, Storage Magazine says that more than 34% of small businesses aren’t testing their backups and of those that do test, over 70% are finding that the backups don’t restore.) That’s a pretty big risk for any company, particularly a small business.

But online backups are by definition offsite and are routinely tested both for backup and restore capability. By migrating data storage to the cloud, your computer IT backup services in New Jersey (http://www.uptimeus.com/Services/services-overview.html) will cost you less while providing a more reliable solution.

Uptime (http://www.uptimeus.com) is a NYC Metro area Information Technology company dedicated to providing fresh and customized IT solutions to today’s leading brands. Uptime works with both established and start up companies to create viable system infrastructures that improve business workflow, freeing up clients to focus on what they do best. Known for providing a fresh professional perspective that is all geek without the attitude, Uptime networks outperform their competitors citywide.

11 Aug

If you’ve found yourself gaping at your computer monitor wondering why it keeps crashing, you are in all likelihood suffering the effects of spyware that found its way into your computer and has begun hurting it. spyware commonly slips into your system disguised as a innocuous file, and once it is inside your system it will do whatever it wants. spyware in your system may be your ugliest situation come true, but you should understand that there are things that someone can do even when spyware is infecting your PC.

So, how do you delete spyware without harming your PC?

There is software available on the Internet for cleaning spyware. This software looks at each data file in your computer and compares it with all recognized spyware. After the spyware removal software identifies a spyware application functioning on your system, it lets you decide if you want to erase it or not. The most obvious choice provided is to delete the issue, which is precisely what you should do unless the file named is a component of a program that you need to use.

After it’s in your system, it’s constantly there, and it’ll will in all likelihood get worse, but it unquestionably won’t get better. You can contend with the issue of spyware slipping into your computer system by using one of the many web-based spyware cleaning apps.

And as a PC tech, I can definitely tell you that employing one of these spyware apps is very much less expensive than using a computer repair man to come repair the problem.

The best software I have found for removing spyware is: NoAdWare!

Computer Viruses and Spyware – Silent Killers and Thieves

09 Aug

Most of us use our computers several times a week, and many of us use our computers on a daily basis. Because our PCs boot up, our programs run when we double-click on icons, and we can browse the internet unfettered, far too many of us mistakenly assume that our computers have a clean bill of health. Unfortunately, however, for some people — maybe you — there are silent killers working their black voodoo magic the background; viruses and spyware slowly siphoning your personal information away to strangers, and maybe even destroying your files, and killing off your computer’s internal protection measures so that they can operate freely within the confines of your computer system’s walls. The question is — are you an unwitting participant in this based-on-a-true-story, made-for-PCs horror movie?

Spyware – the identity thief

Spyware can rob you of your privacy, and it can lead to the complete takeover of your identity by unscrupulous third parties. Sometimes spyware is relatively benign, aside from the privacy intrusion implications, and does little more than track your internet usage or monitors the software that you use on your computer. Other spyware, however, keeps track of passwords that you enter into login forms, grabs your credit card numbers, bank account numbers, social security number, as well as other sensitive information, and sends it to an unknown party who either uses it themselves or sells it to others for them to use as they wish.

Spyware is unfortunately very easy to ‘catch’, kind of like the common cold or food poisoning, depending on how you look at it. While spyware is generally embedded in software that you download and install — like a game, a toolbar, a PC security application, or even a coupon printer — your computer can also become infected through simply visiting a malicious web page that exploits a hole in your computer’s security.

Viruses – the PC killer

Viruses, while they can have spyware-like implications, are infections that can spread throughout your PC much like a virus spreads throughout your body and can result in sickness. However, much like viruses that infect us, computer viruses can be asymptomatic, and you might not be able to tell that your PC is infected until it’s too late. Viruses can be unfortunately devastating — they can disable certain functions on your computer, like being able to run certain anti-virus software, they can disable your internet altogether or prevent you from visiting specific websites, and they can even render your computer completely unusable.

While most computer viruses are not ‘invisible’, so to speak, they can remain hidden for quite some time if they do not affect your daily computer-usage routines. If a computer virus is left to run as it pleases, eventually you will suffer some kind of data loss, and maybe even lose the ability to boot up your computer anymore.

How to verify that your computer is free of viruses and spyware

The best way to confirm that your computer is spyware and virus free is to have a professional computer repair technician scan your PC for viruses and spyware. While there are plenty of virus and spyware removal tools available today for the amateur and pro DIY (do it yourself) computer repair technician, when in the hands of a computer novice, they can actually be quite dangerous because of the false sense of security that they can give. While you should absolutely install trusted anti-virus and anti-spyware software on your computer, sometimes it just isn’t enough to protect your PC from new infections.

If you do not want to be an unwitting participant in this all-too-real, made-for-PCs horror-movie scenario, you need to be aware of the inherit risks of using your computer, especially when you are continually connected to the internet. Don’t assume that your computer is clean just because it runs, or even because a free anti-virus or anti-spyware program says that your computer is clean. For your own security and privacy’s sake, have a professional scan your computer for viruses and spyware from time to time — it’s a precautionary measure that may very well save you from a world of hurt in the not-too-distant future.
